NovaThreads are PDO absorbable sutures. The suture is composed of polydioxanone and is one of the safest materials that can be implanted into the body. They are commonly used by doctors during open heart surgery and won’t leave you with any scar tissue.

NovaThreads are placed using hypodermic needles that have been preloaded. The needle is inserted into the tissue at a sub-dermal level, parallel to the surface of the skin. The PDO thread will remain under the skin, and over the course of four to six months, it will be absorbed as the skin repairs itself around it.
